This January, Travel Sparq was selected as Ames Bottle and Can's Nonprofit of the Month! That means you can drop off your redeemable bottles & cans at Ames Bottle and Can all month long, and Travel Sparq will receive the proceeds from the donations! All proceeds help fund our Costa Rica: Culture and Conservation trip for 2026, a unique educational opportunity for students. This trip will provide more learning opportunities for students through travel and conservation experiences, inspiring them to become global citizens. If you didn't already know, Ames Bottle and Can is a powerhouse of community support, so drop off your recyclable cans and bottles this month and all year!

Travel Sparq is excited to announce that applications for our Costa Rica: Culture and Conservation Program for 2026 are now open for students in Central Iowa, closing on July 31, 2025.

This program offers more than just a beach trip; it’s a chance to learn about new cultures and sustainable practices while making a difference. You'll gain confidence, skills, and unforgettable experiences.
